Dr Md. Latiful Bari worked in the food safety and food security field in various countries including Japan for 18 years, the USA for a year, and FAO headquarters for ½ year. Then he moved to the University of Dhaka and engaged in teaching and research and also provides technical support to scientists, govt officials, graduate students, and industry people. Besides his research, he contributed to the founding of Asian Food Safety and Security Association (AFSA), which is highly connected to the worldwide scientific community, and serving as General Secretary for Asian Food Safety and Security Association (AFSA) since its inception in 2010. His research and innovation contributed to more than 200 peer review publications, books and booklets and four patents.
His recent research in the development of non–chlorine sanitisers, bio-based products for wastewater treatment, soil fertility improvement using microbiological models, natural de-colouring agents and so on are very popular contributions to sciences. His current research and innovation aim to develop nature-based solutions for agriculture, aquaculture, & environment and help build an ecological resilience society.
